Artist Biography
Martin Javier Palottini (b. 1981, Buenos Aires) is an Argentinian artist who mainly works in drawing. Paolottini’s work is outstandingly physical; from vast interlacing flat tints arise flawless faces and bodies, a testimony to perfect realism that reveals unadulterated beings. In the style of a collage artist, Pallotini surrounds and extends his subjects with graphic and plastic elements; clues that offer glimpses of hidden souls beneath overly polished beauty. Paper turns to skin; a fragile material in turns stitched with fine scars or surging in vivid flashes of light, to match the cracks and glories that inhabit his subjects’ inner landscapes.
Palottini has won multiple awards for his work including 1st Prize at the Akian Grafica Editora, 2nd Prize at the National Drawing Room National Palace of Arts, 3rd Prize at the Municipal Drawing Room Manuel Belgrano Eduardo Sívori Museum, 3rd Prize at the Salon Quinta Trabuco, Special Mention at the Painting National Salon Museum of Lujan, and 2nd Prize at the National Salon Drawing Museum Guaman Poma to name a few. His work has been exhibited in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, Miami, FL, Paris, France, Brasilia, Brazil, London, England, Tandil, Argentina, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Seoul, South Korea, Milan Italy, The Hague, Holland, Sivori Museum, and the Eduardo Sivori Museum. His work can be found in the permanent collections of Artemio Alisio engraving and drawing museum, Eduardo Sívori Fine Arts Museum, Tandil Mumbat Museum of Fine Arts, Ministry of Security Collection, Central Bank of the Argentine Republic, and private collections around the world.
