Miya Ando’s Tibetan Prayer Flags on Paddle 8

New York based artist Miya Ando, who has early ties to the SF Bay Area and an upcoming show with K. Imperial in October, has made five unique paintings inspired by Tibetan Prayer Flags. These hand-dyed aluminum plate works are painted on the back with phosphorescence which absorbs light throughout the day and at night emits a soft blue glow. All proceeds from this auction directly benefit the The Tibetan Nuns Project, founded over two decades ago to provide education and humanitarian aid to refugee nuns from Tibet and Himalayan regions.
